About Me: A Giant in the Natural Paradise

¡Hola! Welcome to My Asturian Corner

My name is Viktor, and if you happen to see a 194cm tall man in the streets of Avilés or on the trails of Picos de Europa, capturing misty landscapes with genuine awe — that is likely me.

Three years ago, I moved to Asturias, and that decision completely transformed my life. You know, there are places you visit as a tourist, and then there are places that get under your skin and become a part of who you are. For me, Asturias has become that home. Over these years, I have gone from being a spellbound newcomer to someone who truly believes this region is "Spain’s best-kept secret."

I am absolutely in love with this land: its defiant greenery, the wild Cantabrian Sea, the scent of cider in local sidrerías, and that specific authenticity that is hard to find in mainstream tourist hubs.

Why I Decided to Start This Blog

Living in a place like this and not sharing its beauty feels almost like a crime. My professional background is in digital technology and content creation, so the desire to systematize my knowledge of Asturias and turn it into a useful resource felt like a natural progression.

In this blog, I will be:

  • Showing Hidden Gems: The beaches and villages that don't make it into the standard guidebooks.
  • Sharing Practical Insights: What it’s actually like to build a life in Asturias, from navigating insurance to adapting to the local pace.
  • Exploring Culture and Gastronomy: Why Asturian cuisine is so much more than just fabada, and how to pour cider correctly.
  • Discovering the Region Together: Through my lens and personal experiences.

I have been here for three years, yet Asturias continues to surprise me every single day. I am ready to be your guide through this incredible "Natural Paradise." Subscribe, ask questions, and let’s uncover Northern Spain together.

Puxa Asturies!
